THE BOASTFUL HARE AND THE KIND TORTOISE
Hare is always boasting that he’s the fastest
animal in the forest. Tortoise decides that he’s heard enough of Hare’s boasts.
“Let’s race,” he says to Hare one day. Hare can’t believe what he is hearing.
“You’re going to race me? Don’t make me laugh!” Tortoise just smiles and asks,
“Do you want to race or don’t you?” Hare agrees to race. On the day of the
race, all the animals are there. They’re waiting to see what happens. They
don’t like Hare because he is so boastful. Soon, the race begins. Hare sprints
off, leaving Tortoise to plod along ever so slowly. Sure enough, Hare gets
almost to the finish line before Tortoise has even gone 50 yards. Hare’s so far
ahead that he decides to take a nap. “I’ll finish the race when I wake up.
Tortoise keeps walking until finally he’s just inches from the finish line.
Hare wakes up. He’s shocked! He runs off to catch up but it’s too late!
Tortoise’s won! Hare’s learned the hard way: slow but steady wins the race.

I have learn to remain humble and thankful. Boastful spirits are unable to see where change & growth are needed. Being humble is the key!. See the link below for more info.
